# Google Meet

**Step 01: Go to Convent of Our Lady of Victories E-Learning Portal Page (LMS)**\

**Step 02: Enter the username and password provided to you by the administrator** \

**Step 03: Navigate through the relevant subject and find the Google Meet icon. Click on the icon**

**Step 04: ‘Enter the videoconference’ button will appear when the teacher has started the class/session. Click on the button to join the video class room.** \

**Step 05:** You'll need a School Google account to use Google Meet contact school administrator to obtain email ending with school domain **@olvc.edu.lk**
**පස්වන පියවර :** පාසල් Google Meet ලබා ගැනීමට ඔබට විද්යුත් ලිපිනයක් පාසැලෙන් ලබාදේ කරුණාකර පාසල් කළමනාකරණය අමතන්න\

**Tip!** Please note if you have multiple Google accounts in your Device please select **School Email**\

**Step 06: Join the Video Class Room** \

**Tip**: Allow Meet to use your camera and microphone Before you start using Meet, you need to allow access to your computer's camera and microphone. ඔබේ කැමරාව සහ මයික්රෝෆෝනය භාවිතා කිරීමට රැස්වීමට ඉඩ දෙන්න ඔබ රැස්වීම භාවිතා කිරීමට පෙර, ඔබේ පරිගණකයේ කැමරාවට සහ මයික්රොෆෝනයට ප්රවේශ වීමට ඉඩ දිය යුතුය.

**After joining the Video Classroom, make sure to switch off the microphone at the beginning of each session until the teacher advice you to switch it back on. This is to avoid any disturbance that can happen to the video classroom.**

## For Meet video calls, you’ll need:
* The Meet mobile app or the Gmail mobile app or a [supported web browser.](https://support.google.com/meet/answer/7317473?ref_topic=7306097\&authuser=4#meet_browsers)
* A broadband connection to the internet. Learn how to [prepare your network](https://support.google.com/a/answer/1279090).
* A built-in web camera or external USB camera.
**Hardware recommendations Fix problems with Meet**
If you’re experiencing performance issues with Meet, try the following steps:
* Make sure you only have one Meet tab open at a time. Close any open browser tabs, windows, or apps that aren’t currently being used.
* Turn off any Chrome extensions, especially Meet-specific ones.
* Put your device on a flat and elevated surface to prevent your device from overheating. Avoid using your device on the floor or bed for a long period of time.
